Refund Policy

All registration refund requests must be submitted to answers@doorwaytocollege.com. Refund requests received up to 3 days before a seminar or online class event will be refunded in full or transferred to another live seminar, online class, or recorded seminar event. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received within 3 days of the event, including no-shows. Instead, refund requests received within 3 days of the event, including no-shows, are transferable to another live seminar, online class, or recorded seminar event. All refunds will be processed within 10 business days of confirmation and in the same manner as the original payment. Not all Doorway to College Foundation digital products are eligible for a customer refund because they are delivered and available immediately after purchase.

Cancellation Policy

Doorway to College Foundation reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any live instruction seminar or online class. Doorway to College Foundation will notify registrants of any cancellation or change in schedule by contacting them at the email address provided at the time of registration. In the event that Doorway to College Foundation notifies registrants of its intent to cancel or reschedule, Doorway to College Foundation will refund all registration fees paid to Doorway to College Foundation or will transfer the customer to another live seminar, online class, or recorded online class event per the customer’s request.

Force Majeure Policy

In the unlikely event of an incident beyond Doorway to College Foundation’s control which prevents us from delivering a scheduled live instruction seminar or online class, Doorway to College Foundation will notify registrants by contacting them at the email address provided at the time of registration. In this instance, registration fees will not be refunded, rather Doorway to College Foundation will work with the host entity to reschedule and transfer all registrants to the new live instruction seminar. Should it not be possible to reschedule a seminar, Doorway to College Foundation will transfer the registrant to another live seminar, online class, or recorded online class event per the registrant’s request.

Seminars, Webinars, and Recorded Webinars: We believe in the effectiveness of the ZAPS program, and we stand behind the quality of our curriculum and our staff. But we also know that, occasionally, a student may not be able to fully benefit from a seminar.

If you are dissatisfied with your score after attending a strategy-focused seminar or webinar, you may attend another of the same type of seminar or webinar at no charge, if using the same ZAPS materials provided at your original seminar. If you'd like to have new materials, call us at least 10 days prior to the class to order them at the then-current price.

A. We understand that there are times when you may not be able to attend a seminar or webinar even after you have prepaid. If you know you will not attend, please call us as soon as possible. Our refund policy follows:

We value your business and your success; therefore, we will do our best to assist you in transferring to another local seminar or to a webinar, if either option is available. If one is not available, we'll be happy to provide a link to a recorded webinar and ship the seminar/webinar books to you via standard mail at no additional charge.

 

Q. What is Doorway to College's refund policy if my seminar or webinar is canceled?

A. Despite our best intentions, there are times when either the school or Doorway to College Foundation determines there's a need to cancel a seminar or webinar. We don't like to do it, and we understand that it's inconvenient for you. Our refund policy follows:

Doorway to College Foundation reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any live instruction seminar or webinar. Doorway to College Foundation will notify registrants of any cancellation or change in schedule by contacting them at the email address provided at the time of registration. In the event that Doorway to College Foundation notifies registrants of its intent to cancel or reschedule, Doorway to College Foundation will refund all registration fees paid to Doorway to College Foundation or will transfer the customer to another live seminar, webinar, or recorded seminar event per the customer’s request. 

If your seminar or webinar is canceled, we will call to offer you these options and do our utmost to help you get the prep you were counting on.

 

Q. What is Doorway to College's refund policy if I don't use all my purchased GMAT/GRE Tutoring hours?

A. While extremely rare, there are times when a student is unable to utilize all their purchased GMAT/GRE Tutoring hours prior to their scheduled test date. To avoid this possibility, we recommend that students start tutor sessions AT LEAST one month prior to their scheduled test and work with William Brubaker during your first sessions to create a schedule to ensure all hours are utilized. Our refund policy follows:

Doorway to College Foundation does not refund the purchase of unused GMAT/GRE Tutoring hours. All purchases of these hours are final and should be utilized in a timely manner as determined by the student and tutor to ensure full exhaustion of all hours prior to the student's scheduled test date.

Q. Is it okay if I attend a ZAPS seminar at a neighboring school instead of my own?

A. Unless otherwise noted on our website, you are free to choose a strategy seminar that best fits your schedule. Unless that school restricts attendance to their own students, you can register for it on this website.

If there is no local seminar available, be sure to check available strategy webinars.

 

Q. I am homeschooled. Where can I attend a ZAPS seminar?

A. As far as Doorway to College is concerned, homeschooled students are welcome in any seminar or webinar that is open to the public. Some schools restrict registration to their own students. If that's the case with your local school, be sure to ask in the guidance office whether you are eligible to attend.

 

Q. What happens if I register and I am unable to attend?

A. Contact the Doorway to College office for options to reschedule at another location or to transfer to a strategy webinar. Our friendly customer service team will be glad to help you transfer. Our refund policy follows:

Q. Why are there two sessions listed for some seminars and one session for others?

A. The full seminar or webinar is 5 hours. Some schools choose to offer the seminar to students all in one day, while others prefer to have students attend two days for two and a half hours each day. The seminar is divided into subjects, the same as the tests, so you need to attend both sessions to cover all the subjects. Full-day seminars and webinars provide break time between the first and second halves of the class.

 

Q. Doorway to College Foundation comes to my school to host ZAPS seminars, but I can't find them here on the website. Why not?

A. We post seminars as soon we are able to begin taking registrations. If you are on our website and don’t see a seminar that you’re expecting to see, we may not have posted it yet. Or perhaps the school has changed from a fall seminar to a spring seminar (or the reverse). If you are concerned, we invite you to email us at answers@doorwaytocollege.com.
